Job summary

Alpineo Consulting is seeking an Engineering Team Leader ATFCM in Switzerland to lead a multidisciplinary team of around 10 engineers delivering critical Air Traffic Flow and Capacity Management software. You will build a high-performing, autonomous engineering culture with ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement, while managing onboarding, risk, and delivery efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in software engineering, system engineering, or related technical field.

• Experience in regulated, safety-critical, or mission-critical environments is highly valued.
• Strong leadership, people management, and team-building skills.

Job description

The Engineering Team Leader ATFCM leads and develops a multidisciplinary team of approximately 10 engineers and specialists responsible for the delivery and maintenance of critical Air Traffic Flow and Capacity Management software solutions.

The role focuses on building a high-performing, autonomous, and sustainable engineering team while fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, quality, and continuous improvement.

A key responsibility is to manage the transition and internalization of engineering activities previously handled by an external organization, ensuring effective knowledge transfer, smooth onboarding, risk management, and continuity of service.

The Team Leader is also responsible for team organization, resource planning, performance management, competence development, recruitment, and delivery efficiency. The role ensures compliance with software development processes, quality, safety, security, and architectural standards, while promoting strong engineering practices across requirements, testing, code quality, configuration management, documentation, and releases.
