Purpose of the role

We are looking for a Marketing Data Analyst to drive data-informed decision‑making across Proton’s marketing organisation, with a strong focus on campaign measurement, topline reporting, and performance insights.
You will work closely with Product Marketing Managers (PMM), Growth, and Performance Marketing teams to design and implement frameworks that quantify the impact of awareness initiatives, marketing investments, and upper‑funnel activities.

This is a hands‑on analytical role that blends technical expertise, marketing domain understanding, and storytelling through data.

What you will do
  • Develop measurement plans for awareness campaigns and translate the value of brand awareness lift into business KPIs.
  • Use geo testing and causal inference methods to evaluate campaign performance across markets.
  • Deep dive into Performance marketing campaign performance to uncover actionable insights.
  • Deliver regular, data‑driven insights on channel performance on our storefronts, surfacing actionable recommendations for optimisation.
  • Design, build, and visualise marketing KPIs capturing topline marketing performance and insights challenging the status quo.
  • Build pipelines to streamline and automate marketing reporting, and document the marketing data ecosystem in collaboration with the data engineering and Mark Tech teams.
  • Enable stakeholders to act on data through clear documentation, hands‑on training sessions, and ongoing support for all marketing dashboards.
Job requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field (Marketing Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or related).
  • 4+ years of experience, particularly in marketing analytics, is a must; experience with data visualization or data‑driven decision‑making roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable marketing insights.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and transformation.
  • Experience building dashboards and reports in tools such as Metabase, Pigment, or equivalent BI platforms.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, able to present insights to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Proton is an office‑first company. We expect you to spend most of your time in the office, and while we do offer some flexibility to work from home, we believe in‑person collaboration helps us build the best products.
  • Experience working in high‑growth, global technology companies.
  • Familiarity with subscription‑based or freemium business models.
  • Practical knowledge of Python or other scripting languages for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Understanding of privacy‑first marketing measurement principles.
