Job summary

Medtronic in Lausanne, Vaud, Switzerland, seeks an Equipment Development Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for equipment development, automation, and software engineering across the product lifecycle.

You will bridge R&D and Operations, shaping robust, scalable manufacturing solutions from concept to high-volume production, and drive automation roadmaps, cost-efficiency, and programmatic savings.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related).
• Minimum 10 years engineering experience in medical devices or high-volume industries.
• Minimum 5 years of people leadership experience.
• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Experience in product industrialization, process development, manufacturing engineering, or automation.
• Strong project and stakeholder management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team across multiple disciplines.
• Drive equipment development, manufacturing automation, and software engineering roadmaps.
• Partner with R&D, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Global Engineering to accelerate launches.
• Lead development and deployment of advanced manufacturing equipment and automation solutions.
• Drive manufacturing processes for new products and technology platforms.
• Establish governance and execution rigor for engineering projects.
• Champion continuous improvement and standardization.
