Job summary

Alpiq invites an IT Domain Architect to own the architectural vision for its Energy Trading systems. You will steer front, middle and back office platforms toward a cohesive target landscape, ensuring security, scalability and regulatory alignment.

You will collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to shape roadmaps, govern architecture decisions and guardrails across trading, risk and settlement domains.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent hands-on experience in IT or related field.
• Track record in enterprise, domain or solution architecture, preferably within energy trading or financial markets.
• Solid grasp of trade lifecycle and ETRM/CTRM systems with platforms such as Murex, Endur or Orchestrade.
• Strong solution and data architecture skills with security know-how in real-time, data-intensive environments.
• Ability to turn business strategy and regulation into a clear IT target landscape and guardrails.
• Experience with architecture governance, design reviews and lifecycle management.
• Experience with Enterprise Integration Patterns and Event Driven Architectures; data-centric platforms Foundry or Databricks.
• Ability to collaborate across internal delivery teams, external service providers and vendors.
• Excellent stakeholder-management and analytical capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Define, own and evolve the IT target landscape for the Trading Division and drive the transformation.
• Maintain a living view of trading landscape and translate gaps into a pragmatic roadmap.
• Shape solution designs across front, middle and back office for ETRM/risk platforms.
• Be the architecture partner for projects, setting standards and guardrails for ETRM, risk, data and settlement platforms.
• Review architectural impact, risks and debt before changes go live with emphasis on data integrity and latency.
• Steer architecture governance, design authority reviews and roadmap planning.
• Ensure REMIT, EMIR, MiFID II considerations are embedded from the start.
• Promote standardisation and cost optimisation while balancing value and security.
