Our client, a global market leader in the production and process support of active pharmaceutical ingredients, both in the chemical and biotechnology sectors, is recruiting for a EMR Maintenance Engineer for a 12-month contract with extension possible.
This is an onsite role based in Visp, Switzerland.
We are seeking an experienced EMR Maintenance Engineer to support calibration, maintenance, and compliance activities within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation, execution, and documentation of calibration and preventive maintenance activities for process instrumentation while ensuring full compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
This role requires strong hands‑on experience in instrumentation, extensive knowledge of calibration management systems, and a solid understanding of pharmaceutical or other highly regulated process industries
Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare, execute, and document calibration and preventive maintenance activities for process instrumentation.
- Manage calibration records and documentation using CMX Calibration Software.
- Ensure all calibration and maintenance activities are performed in accordance with GMP requirements, site procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Support troubleshooting, diagnostics, and continuous improvement of instrumentation systems.
- Coordinate maintenance activities through SAP PM (Plant Maintenance).
- Review calibration data and documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and maintenance teams to maintain reliable plant operations.
- Contribute to investigations, change controls, and corrective/preventive actions related to instrumentation and calibration activities.
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required
- Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in instrumentation and calibration and maintenance activities within: Pharma, Chemical or process industries or Oil & Gas industries
- CMX Calibration Software Expert with experience preparing calibration documentation and supporting routine maintenance activities within CMX.
- GMP-Regulated Industry Experience with strong understanding of GMP requirements and documentation practices. Hands‑on experience in pharmaceutical, CDMO, process industry, chemical, or oil & gas environments.
- Instrumentation & Calibration Experience with experience with process instrumentation and related systems in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience with calibration documentation, execution, and compliance processes.
- Technical education in one of the following disciplines: Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Technology
- Candidates with a completed apprenticeship and significant relevant industry experience will also be considered.
- Good knowledge of SAP PM (Plant Maintenance).
- German and English: Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
