Zusammenfassung

Hyperscale Power in Switzerland is building the EMC and compliance function for a breakthrough power electronics platform. As EMC / Compliance Engineer you own the strategy from design guidance through formal certification with external labs and certification bodies.

You will collaborate with Power Electronics, Firmware and Mechanical teams to embed compliance early, manage test plans, create technical files and keep the certification roadmap up to date.

Qualifikationen

• BSc / MSc in electrical engineering or comparable education.
• 5+ years of experience in EMC engineering and/or regulatory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of EMC standards (IEC 61000 series, CISPR, FCC Part 15) and product safety / grid-tie standards (UL, IEC 62477, IEEE 1547).
• Hands-on experience with EMC test equipment and pre-compliance testing.

Aufgaben

• Plan, execute and oversee EMC testing for AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion systems, in collaboration with external test houses.
• Define and drive the regulatory compliance strategy and certification roadmap across target markets and standards (UL, CE, IEC 62477, IEEE 1547, FCC/CISPR EMC).
• Work with hardware, firmware and mechanical teams early in design to embed EMC and compliance considerations.
• Own relationships with external certification bodies and test houses (UL, TÜV, and others), coordinating test plans and follow-up on findings.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation required for certification – test reports, risk assessments, declarations of conformity.
• Investigate and resolve EMC and compliance issues found during testing, supporting root-cause analysis and design changes.
• Track evolving regulatory requirements across target markets and communicate impact on engineering roadmap.
• Support the transition from Alpha Customer readiness to Production by scaling compliance processes to serial production.
