Job summary

Georg Fischer seeks a Software Engineer Embedded Systems & Technical Lead to shape the direction of embedded and machine software for our Jointing Solutions portfolio. You will split time between hands-on coding (about 30%) and coordinating external development partners to ensure high-quality, future-ready solutions.

You will design, develop, and maintain software, define interfaces, and drive system concepts in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, CS or Electrical Engineering.
• 6+ years of professional software development experience, including embedded or machine software.
• Strong hands-on programming in C/C++ and experience in Java or C#/.NET.
• Experience coordinating external development partners and distributed teams.
• Knowledge of Requirements and Systems Engineering; hardware–software integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded and machine software solutions.
• Lead and coordinate external software development partners.
• Define, document, and implement software requirements and interfaces.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps integrations.
• Plan, execute, and oversee integration, verification, and testing.
• Drive continuous improvement of development processes.
