Job summary

Albedis SA is seeking a motivated Software Team Leader to join our engineering team in Switzerland, focusing on medical device and industrial projects. The role combines hands-on embedded software development in C/C++ with technical and people leadership, contributing to regulated medical-device software development.

You will lead the software team, plan resources with project managers, and drive process improvements while ensuring compliance with IEC 62304 and ISO 13485 expectations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical field.
• Several years of professional experience in software development, preferably embedded systems.
• Proven experience in team leadership, people management, coaching, or mentoring.
• Strong knowledge of C/C++ and embedded software development; experience with RTOS and processor architectures is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of IEC 62304 and software development within a regulated medical-device environment; ISO 13485 is an advantage.

• Develop embedded software in C/C++ for customer projects in medical technology and industrial sectors, following IEC 62304.
• Lead, coach, and support the professional development of the software development team.
• Plan, prioritize, and coordinate software development resources with project managers.
• Implement hardware-related software on different processor architectures, RTOS platforms, and frameworks.
• Drive the improvement of software development methods, engineering processes, and workflows.
• Ensure compliance with development processes, quality standards, and project requirements.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, system engineers, software architects, and other engineering disciplines while contributing technically to projects.
