Zusammenfassung

Flybotix, a Swiss robotics scale-up near Lausanne, seeks an Embedded Firmware Engineer to join the R&D team. You will design and maintain embedded firmware for our indoor inspection drones, optimize real-time and embedded Linux, and develop sensor drivers with robust testing and CI/CD integration.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of C/C++ firmware for ARM, experience with STM32, embedded Linux, RTOS (NuttX/FreeRTOS), and a passion for drone robotics. English is required; French is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years in C/C++ embedded firmware for ARM.
• Expertise in embedded Linux, real-time/bare-metal design, and RTOS.
• Sensor drivers and hardware–software integration.
• CI/CD and automated testing experience.
• Drone/robotics/UAV experience preferred.

• Rust for embedded is a plus.

About Flybotix

Flybotix is a recognized Swiss robotics scale-up (based near Lausanne) building the ASIO indoor-inspection drone, which keeps humans out of hazardous confined spaces while delivering 20+ minutes of visual inspection for sewer, hydro power, oil & gas, maritime and chemical-plant applications.

Role

As an Embedded Firmware Engineer, you join the R&D team to design, develop and maintain the embedded firmware for Flybotix's indoor inspection drones. You optimize real-time, bare-metal and embedded Linux applications, develop sensor drivers and low-level libraries, and ensure robustness through automated testing and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• expertise in embedded Linux and kernel customization, real-time/bare-metal design, STM32 MCU programming and RTOS (NuttX, FreeRTOS), sensor drivers and hardware-software integration, and MCU tooling
• experience with automated testing/CI/CD and embedded debugging
• drone/robotics/UAV experience strongly preferred
• strong English (French a plus)
• Rust for embedded a significant plus
