Jobbeschreibung

You will join a small technical team of engineers and technicians responsible for the design, prototyping, assembly, testing and installation of the Detector Safety System (DSS) and the subdetector safety systems. The team is also responsible for the operation of the existing central DSS system before its replacement by the new DSS system. You will also interface with the team in charge of the subdetector safety systems and the group in charge of the definition of the DSS architecture. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a young professional to gain hands-on experience in applied electronics projects, contributing to large-scale industrial infrastructures in a cutting-edge technological environment.

• You are a national of aCERN Member State or Associate Member State . Currently, we cannot consider applications from Pakistani and Lithuanian nationals for positions with a 2026 start date, as the ceiling defined under Article II.5 of the Associate Membership Agreement has been reached.
• By the application deadline, you have a maximum of 2 years of professional experience since graduation in a technical or administrative field and your highest educational qualification is a general secondary education diploma or a shorter non-university degree. You can’t hold a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree or PhD.
• You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
