Zusammenfassung

SkyCell AG in Basel is seeking an electronics technician/automation engineer to advance the next generation of smart refrigerated containers. You will assemble, wire and commission prototypes, integrate battery packs and BMS, and develop electrical systems from concept to production.

In this hands-on role you’ll test with CAN interfaces, apply power electronics knowledge and collaborate with hardware and software teams to document results and drive improvements.

Qualifikationen

• Completed vocational training as an automation technician (EFZ), electronics technician (EFZ) or equivalent technical qualification; further education at HF/FH level desirable
• Practical experience in installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of electrical systems, ideally with knowledge of battery technology, power electronics or control engineering
• Experience using electrical test equipment and knowledge of CAN, RS485 or Modbus is advantageous
• Enjoyment of hands-on work, including assembling and testing prototypes
• Independent, structured and team‑oriented approach with good communication in German and English

Aufgaben

• Assemble, wire and commission prototypes and test systems
• Integrate battery packs, BMS, sensors into containers
• Develop electrical systems from concept to production
• Plan and conduct laboratory, climatic and field tests
• Perform functional, charge, discharge and safety tests on battery systems
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and CAN interfaces
• Support firmware and hardware testing with teams
• Document test results and drive improvements
• Prepare electrical documentation and wiring diagrams
• Assist industrialisation and supplier collaboration
• Support production and service with electrical issues
• Continuously improve products and test methods
