Zusammenfassung

Qiio is searching for an Electronic Design Engineer to join their Swissteam in Zurich. You'll create ultra-secure cellular IoT edge devices, working in a dynamic environment alongside a skilled team from design to manufacturing.

Your responsibilities include hardware design, collaborating with the qiio factory team, and leading the Zurich lab. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering and has expertise in high-speed signal designs, Altium Designer, and hardware prototyping.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in high-speed signal designs (RAM, Flash, USB).
• Experience in impedance-controlled designs (700 MHz – 5 GHz).
• Experience in thermal management.
• Hardware prototyping skills to lead the Zurich lab (soldering, 3D printing, laser cutting).

Description

We are looking for an Electronic Design Engineer to join qiio’s Swissteam in Zurich. We want you to create the future of ultra‑secure cellular IoT edge devices. You will be working with an experienced team from design to manufacturing. Your work will be primarily in Switzerland and in the hardware lab in Zurich. Whenever needed you will cooperate with the qiio factory team in Germany. As qiio is an international startup with an international customer base there are opportunities to travel when you are open for that and if it adds value.

Duties and responsibilities

Your tasks will include the following:

• Work on the hardware design of ultra‑secure cellular IoT edge devices. The designs are ARM based on a spectrum from low‑performance ARM micro‑controller architectures to high‑performance ARM multi‑core architectures.
• Work together with the qiio factory team on ultra‑reliable manufacturing at automotive grade.
• Lead the hardware lab in Zurich with a machine park for different types of prototyping.

Skills/Knowledge required

The ideal candidate will have:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (ETH / EPFL or similar).
• Experience in high‑speed signal designs (RAM, Flash, USB).
• Experience in impedance‑controlled designs (700 MHz – 5 GHz).
• Experience in thermal management.
• Experience in working with Altium Designer.
• Hardware prototyping skills to lead the Zurich lab (soldering, 3D printing, laser cutting).
