Job summary

Leister Technologies AG seeks an Electrical Safety & Fire Protection Specialist to lead electrical safety across facilities in Central Switzerland. You will develop safety plans, plan inspections, and coordinate external contractors while ensuring legal compliance and high safety standards.

You will organize training, support procurement for machinery, and act as the fire safety officer, guiding production teams toward safer operations.

Qualifications

• Completed vocational training in electrical engineering (EFZ).
• Advanced training in electrical safety (consultant or project manager).
• Knowledge of NIV, NIN, EKAS and SUVA guidelines.
• Several years of industrial electrical systems experience.
• Experience coordinating external contractors and inspection agencies.
• Very good written and spoken German; English a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring and further developing electrical safety in the workplace.
• Implementing legal requirements, standards, and internal safety standards.
• Developing and maintaining the workplace electrical safety plan.
• Organizing and supervising periodic inspections of electrical installations, machinery, and equipment.
• Planning and coordinating maintenance, testing, and repair work; assessing electrical hazards and protective measures.
• Coordinating and supervising external electrical contractors and inspection agencies.
• Providing technical support during procurement and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
• Conducting training and instruction on electrical safety.
• Assistance in electrical accidents and malfunctions.
• Conducting electrical inspections of equipment.
• Support with maintenance and repair work.
• Serving as the fire safety officer.
