Job summary

Infotree Global Solutions seeks an Electrical Project Manager for a permanent role based in Opfikon, Switzerland. You will lead a large on-site team, coordinate with clients, and drive delivery of complex electrical and mechanical systems for data centre projects.

The role requires 5–10 years in electrical project management, strong leadership, and a track record of coordinating large installations. You will oversee safety, quality, and timely site delivery within a live data centre environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electrical project management, especially data centre construction.
• Experience leading large installation projects with strict HSE requirements.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, testing and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Establish performance and delivery criteria to meet client requirements.
• Liaise with client to build trust and identify future opportunities.
• Develop and administer quality control provisions; liaise on cost estimating and value engineering.
• Develop KPI processes with the client and monitor implementation.
• Lead safety initiatives on site and Safety Leadership Teams.
• Ensure 'Right First Time' quality on site.
• Track and report at weekly client update meetings.
• Coordinate with Commercial team on contracts, purchase orders and change orders.
• Manage on-site team and coordinate travel logistics.
• Plan resources including labour, materials and sub-contractors.
• Drive a large team to meet project requirements and deadlines.
• Create installed drawings and O&M manuals.
• Process requisitions and ensure timely delivery of purchases.
• Develop a detailed schedule with the project planner.
• Understand UPS, STS, EPMS, BMS, Generators, Busbar systems and PDUs.
• Work in live environment and maintain client systems during construction phases.
• Coordinate RAMS and client permits; liaise on LOTO with vendors.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

Job description

Looking for Electrical Project Manager for a permanent position based in Opfikon, Switzerland.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

• Establish performance and delivery criteria, ensuring that client requirements are being met
• Liaise with the client and establish a trusting relationship to ensure future project opportunities.
• Develop and administer quality control provisions; liaise on project cost estimating and value engineering, as appropriate
• Liaise with the client on KPI development and implementation.
• Champion Safety implementation on site and at site Safety Leadership Teams
• Champion Quality focus on site and implement ‘Right First Time’ measures.
• Track and report at weekly client update meetings.
• Liaise with the Commercial team to ensure contracts, purchase orders, payment certs and change orders are issued in accordance with company policies.
• Management of team on site and coordination of Internal resources with regard to travel etc.
• Planning of all resources including labour, materials and sub-contractors
• To manage and drive a large team to meet with all project requirements and deadlines

• Must have a detailed knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical systems and equipment including UPS, STS, EPMS, BMS, Generators, Busbar systems and PDU’s.
• To understand the nature of working in a live environment and appreciate the importance of maintaining all client’s system during construction phases.
• Liaise with the client regarding the permitting of all works within the live environment and participate in the development of RAMS and relevant client permits.
• A strong understanding of the COHE policies and to liaise with various vendors and subcontractors in relation to LOTO of their equipment.

Essential Criteria for the Role:

• A trade and/or relevant third level qualification
• 5 - 10 years previous experience in Electrical Project Management
• Proven record of coordinating and managing large installation projects, particularly data centre construction
• Knowledge of implementing Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental management systems
• Experienced in design and build construction
• Good technical knowledge of both Electrical and Mechanical systems and testing and commissioning of same
• Excellent leadership skills and demonstratable experience of managing a team
• Ability to work well within strict deadlines
• Ability to drive a large-scale project
