Job summary

Techfirm Engineering in Basel is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support challenging projects in the pharmaceutical and chemical sectors in Switzerland. You will contribute to the design, implementation, commissioning and optimization of electrical systems, coordinating with Operations, Maintenance, Automation, EHS and Quality teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 3 years of industrial experience, with knowledge of

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (Bachelor's or Master's) required.
• At least 3 years of experience in electrical engineering, industrial installations or project execution.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical, or other industrial environments.
• Knowledge of Swiss regulations and standards (NIN, NIV, ESTI, EKAS, SUVA) and SN EN / IEC standards.
• Knowledge of ATEX requirements.
• Experience in GMP-regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support electrical engineering projects through their lifecycle, from feasibility to handover.
• Design and coordinate electrical systems including power distribution, switchgear, UPS, VFDs, heating and heat tracing.
• Develop concepts, specifications, diagrams and documentation for facilities and processes.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with Swiss regulations and standards; participate in commissioning and handovers.
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability, safety and energy efficiency.
