Job summary

Added Value Engineering in Vevey is expanding its EIA team. We seek an EIA Technician to design electrical schematics, draft cabinet layouts, and perform calculations and BOMs for high-value projects in Swiss industry.

You will work with AutoCAD/EPLAN/See Electrical, interact with suppliers, and participate in site surveys and commissioning in cutting-edge sectors.

Qualifications

• Training as an ES technician or HES engineer in electrical engineering.
• Proven experience in a similar position in Switzerland.
• Mastery of PLCs (Schneider, Siemens, Emerson) and networks (Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet, ASI, etc.).
• Good knowledge of PLC and SCADA programming.
• Familiarity with safety automation (SIL loops).
• Software skills: AutoCAD, EPLAN, See Electrical.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical schematics using CAD/CAM based on estimates or specifications.
• Draw up layout plans for electrical cabinets, connections and cable trays.
• Write calculation notes (protection, cables, selectivity) and power balances.
• Recommend choice of components and draw up bills of materials.
• Consult suppliers and ensure technical follow-up.
• Carry out site surveys and pre-study visits.
• Participate in on-site commissioning and technical assistance.
• Contribute to internal and external project meetings.
