Zusammenfassung

Helbling Technik is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to join our Bern office. You will take architecture to deployment on System-on-Module platforms, write firmware for microcontrollers, and work on AI on embedded devices for consumer electronics and smart home products.

You collaborate with hardware and mechanical engineers in cross‑disciplinary teams, test across bare-metal and RTOS, and contribute to design notes, tests, and customer projects.

Qualifikationen

• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum three years of professional embedded software development experience.
• Strong C/C++ on embedded systems and Python programming.
• Experience with RTOS and/or bare-metal environments.
• Experience with embedded Linux (Yocto) on SoM platforms.
• Experience integrating BLE, Wi‑Fi, Zigbee/Thread stacks.
• Hands-on AI on embedded platforms and good communication skills.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Contribute to embedded software architecture and design in multidisciplinary teams.
• Implement firmware for microcontrollers and SoMs across bare-metal and RTOS.
• Integrate connectivity stacks and on‑device AI features.
• Write tests and perform root cause analysis across hardware/software boundary.
• Prepare design notes and test reports; collaborate with customer teams.
