Job summary

The Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD) in Switzerland seeks a Fundraising Coordinator to strengthen and diversify our funding base by engaging private donors, foundations, CSR programmes and institutional donors.

You will translate GICHD priorities into compelling proposals, manage a fundraising pipeline, and work with technical colleagues to ensure donor requirements are met while building strategic partnerships.

Qualifications

• Advanced university degree in business administration, international relations, development studies, political science, communications, marketing or another relevant field.
• A minimum of 6-8 years of progressively responsible professional experience in fundraising, business development, resource mobilisation, strategic partnerships, donor relations or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated track record of proactively identifying and developing funding opportunities and building relationships that contribute to new or expanded partnerships.
• Experience engaging with private-sector actors, companies, foundations, philanthropic organisations or corporate CSR programmes; experience working within, or closely with, the private sector is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify, assess and pursue fundraising opportunities across private, philanthropic, corporate, public and institutional donor segments.
• Build, cultivate and maintain relationships with prospective and existing donors and partners through targeted outreach and meetings.
• Implement donor mapping, prospect research and donor intelligence, monitoring funding trends and translating intelligence into fundraising actions.
