ETH Zürich’s Nash Lab in Basel seeks a Doctoral Student to develop high-throughput assays for protein interactions relevant to blood clotting and to apply sequencing data and ML to model mechanics. You will join two departments and work across experimental and computational biology, with hands-on training from design to predictive modeling.

Qualifikationen

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong quantitative background and interest in protein engineering.
  • Experience with molecular biology and protein expression preferred.

Aufgaben

  • Establish and validate high-throughput assay for protein interactions.
  • Cross-validate assay results with AFM measurements.
  • Design and construct DNA variant libraries; display on yeast.
  • Apply sequencing to quantify phenotypes and develop ML models.
  • Prepare data/manuscripts and present results; enroll in DBSSE Doctoral program.
  • Contribute to undergraduate teaching and supervision.
