Zusammenfassung

CERN IT Storage and Data Management group seeks a Distributed Storage Engineer to design, evolve and operate large-scale distributed storage services for the CERN cloud and computing infrastructures.

You will work with open-source Ceph-based block, object and filesystem solutions, troubleshoot in a Linux environment, contribute code to upstream Ceph, and advance automation, deployment and observability in line with DevOps practices.

Qualifikationen

• Proficient in C++ and Linux for fault-tolerant distributed storage.
• Experience with open-source storage projects and Ceph is a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems and contribute code.

Aufgaben

• Design, evolve and operate large-scale distributed storage services for CERN cloud and computing infrastructures.
• Work with Ceph-based block, object and filesystem solutions (CephFS, NFS integrations).
• Troubleshoot system-wide issues in a Linux-based environment and optimize storage architectures.
• Contribute code improvements to the upstream Ceph project and advance automation and observability.
