Zusammenfassung

Johnson & Johnson in Zug, Switzerland, is seeking a Director of Supply Chain Inventory (OMNI) to lead the multi-year inventory roadmap and governance across Biotherapeutics, Synthetics and Advanced Therapy platforms. You will partner with brands, sites and regions to optimize cash flow, service levels and resilience while guiding a high-performing team.

The role requires 10+ years in supply chain with strong financial acumen, data analytics and executive communication.

Qualifikationen

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s is required.
  • Focus degree in Science, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or related field is preferred; APICS / LEAN certifications are a plus.
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible Supply Chain experience, including planning, inventory, logistics, manufacturing, network and/or related disciplines.
  • Strong financial and business acumen, with experience translating inventory drivers into cash-flow, working-capital, P&L, capacity, cost and service implications.
  • Deep knowledge of end-to-end inventory management, including entitlement, safety stock, cycle and pipeline stock, SLOB, DOS, lifecycle, resilience and working-capital optimisation.
  • Strong executive communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex issues, frame trade-offs and present recommendations to senior leadership.

Aufgaben

  • Strategy: Own the OMNI vision, operating model and multi-year roadmap, aligning inventory strategy with business plans, budget, forecast and LRFP commitments.
  • End-to-end target setting: Reconcile top-down cash and financial objectives with bottom-up operational requirements across brands, markets, sites and material types.
  • Governance and decision rights: Design and operate inventory governance, including ownership, thresholds, approval triggers, escalation paths and executive recommendations.
  • Financial-cycle leadership: Lead inventory actuals, projections, risks and opportunities through planning cycles; explain drivers, assumptions, headwinds and mitigation actions.
  • Inventory Intelligence Hub: Lead integrated analytics and AI-enabled insight generation to identify excess, outliers, structural drivers, headwinds and early-warning signals.
  • Data and digital products: Define data, metric and reporting requirements; strengthen data integrity, controls and traceability; develop dashboards and decision-support capabilities.
  • SLOB prevention: Establish leading indicators, governance and action plans that prevent excess and obsolescence.
  • Execution and adoption: Convert insight into owned action plans with brands, sites and regions; track decisions and benefits to closure.
  • People leadership: Build, coach and retain a diverse, high-performing team.

Are you ready to advance your career? Join our world-class global team! You will lead OMNI (Optimizing Management of Network Inventory), the inventory optimization programme for Innovative Medicine Supply Chain across Biotherapeutics, Synthetics and Advanced Therapy platforms. The role is accountable for partnering closely across all supply chain functions, translating business strategy into a multi-year inventory roadmap that protects cash flow while sustaining patient service, supply resilience, growth, capacity and cost objectives. You will develop a high-performing team that identifies opportunities, shapes decision-ready recommendations and works with accountable business leaders to deliver and sustain results. This role offers significant exposure across a complex, regulated and globally distributed supply network and is a key member of the Global Planning Biotherapeutics Team.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy: Own the OMNI vision, operating model and multi-year roadmap, aligning inventory strategy with business plans, budget, forecast and LRFP commitments.

End-to-end target setting: Reconcile top-down cash and financial objectives with bottom-up operational requirements across brands, markets, sites and material types; establish clear guidance for trade-offs involving service, safety stock, batch size, shelf life, quality release, capacity, absorption, growth and resilience.

Governance and decision rights: Design and operate inventory governance, including ownership, thresholds, approval triggers, escalation paths and executive recommendations. Connect governance to IBP, SRM, DSRM, MPC, financial cycles and leadership forums.

Financial-cycle leadership: Lead inventory actuals, projections, risks and opportunities through planning cycles; explain drivers, assumptions, headwinds and mitigation actions; and ensure a consistent link between operational inventory and financial outcomes.

Inventory Intelligence Hub: Lead integrated analytics and AI-enabled insight generation to identify excess, outliers, structural drivers, headwinds and early-warning signals across demand, supply, quality, shelf life and network constraints.

Data and digital products: Define data, metric and reporting requirements; strengthen data integrity, controls and traceability; and develop sustainable dashboards and decision-support capabilities with GPEx, and process owners.

SLOB prevention: Establish leading indicators, governance and action plans that prevent excess and obsolescence, accelerate disposition decisions and connect inventory and reserve implications.

Execution and adoption: Convert insight into owned action plans with brands, sites and regions; track decisions and benefits to closure; and verify improvements are embedded in standard processes and sustained.

People leadership: Build, coach and retain a diverse, high-performing team with strong programme, analytics, strategy and stakeholder-management capabilities.

Preferred People Management and Organizational Capability-Building Experience
