Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant discipline.
• 10+ years in IT or academic environments managing large-scale computing infrastructures and digital research platforms.
• Experience leading large technical teams in multidisciplinary settings with operating and transformation responsibilities.
• Ability to drive change while fostering engagement and rallying cross-functional teams.
• Experience in budget management, procurement, service operations, and vendor negotiations.
• Strong service orientation, organizational skills, stakeholder management, agility, and strategic vision.
• Experience in research-intensive or higher-education environments desirable; exposure to high-impact scientific projects in computational/data science.
• Excellent communication in English and French is highly desirable.

• Lead the implementation of EPFL’s strategy on operations and service delivery for integrated computing services.
• Collaborate with Academic Directors and committees to ensure researchers have reliable, scalable computing resources.
• Run ICP as a responsive, service-driven platform delivering HPC, AI/ML, storage, and sensitive data environments.
• Develop the service portfolio aligned with EPFL’s research, teaching, and innovation priorities.
• Own service quality, user satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams (40+ members) across operations, research support, systems engineering, AI enablement, onboarding, and service management.
