Qualifications

• Postgraduate studies in micro- and macro-economics, business, finance, statistics.
• 8 years’ experience in economist roles, applying economic analyses to industry issues.
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-evolving domain and meet tight deadlines.
• Analytical and detail-oriented while grasping global strategy and vision.
• Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
• Experience managing research professionals.
• Strong English communication, other languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop the macro- and micro-economic research agenda for the global economy and regions related to air transport.
• Produce research, publications, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Director of Industry Analysis and SVP to align workplan and priorities.
• Lead the team with development and upskilling focus, ensuring business continuity.
• Integrate regional work with the overall research production process.
• Develop and maintain key internal and external relationships to promote IATA’s economic analysis.
