Jobbasel is seeking Basel-based leadership for a senior role in customs and trade compliance within the Pharma sector. You will lead the global strategy, policies and standards, partnering with global, regional and local stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant delivery of activities.

Your responsibilities include risk management, audits, and implementing a robust control framework while supporting strategic initiatives with tax, finance and supply chain teams.

• Significant experience in customs and trade compliance, including planning and governance.
• Proven ability to advise on complex compliance matters and manage cross-functional teams.

Your tasks:

• Lead the global customs and trade compliance strategy, policies and internal standards across the organisation
• Partner with global, regional and local stakeholders to ensure compliant, timely and high-quality delivery of customs and trade compliance activities
• Oversee risk management, issue resolution, audit management and control framework implementation
• Support strategic projects by assessing customs and trade compliance implications in close collaboration with tax, finance and supply chain teams
• Design and monitor processes, tools and data management approaches to support compliant day-to-day operations
• Build and develop a strong governance structure, including coaching and capability development for the wider compliance network

Your experience/knowledge:

• Significant experience in customs and trade compliance, including planning, controversy and operational governance
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems, ideally SAP, with the ability to work effectively with IT and data teams
• Proven experience in stakeholder management, cross-functional collaboration and advising on complex compliance matters
• Background in a large professional services firm, legal practice or in-house customs and trade compliance leadership role
• Language skills: English, English
