Novartis International AG in Basel, Switzerland seeks a Director, Deployment Strategist for Applied AI. You will lead strategic AI projects for the CEO and EC, define cross-cutting solutions, and enable AI to scale across the business.

You bring a Bachelor's degree (MS/MBA preferred), excellent English, 2+ years in digital/AI fields, and a proven record in AI/digital transformation. Travel may be required.

The Enterprise AI & Reimagine Work team is a central group helping shape and accelerate AI-enabled ways of working across the enterprise. We partner with business units and functions to turn leadership priorities into focused action, scale high-impact initiatives, unblock execution, and build reusable solutions that help teams work smarter. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of enterprise transformation, AI, and hands‑on problem solving

Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Independently drive strategic tech/AI projects for Novartis Group, the CEO and the Executive Committee
• Drive value by defining cross-cutting solutions (including cross-functional working groups, tech products) that will enable AI to fully scale in the business
• Generate strategic insights based on best-in-class analysis, distill outputs and recommendations which enable informed decisions of top‑level leaders on AI and Reimagining Work
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for the team on select tech related topics
• Develop network of tech/AI experts and leaders across Novartis

What you'll bring to the role:

• Bachelor's degree, advanced degree preferred (MS, MBA)
• Proficiency in English required (spoken and written) with proficiency in other languages a plus
• Hands on experience (e.g., 2 years) in digital/AI related fields e.g., product management, digital analytics, building software products
• Established record of driving strategic AI/digital transformation and topics with value creation in mind
• Significant experience gained in a top tier consultancy (manager level)
• Project and program management experience in strategic projects, ideally in pharma/healthcare with a track record of strong business impact
• Effective and persuasive communicator with strong presentation, communication (both written and verbal), influencing and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work with and lead multi-disciplinary teams including engineers, architects Experience
• Experience in executive level communications.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally, to be determined based on business needs.

Expected Annual Base Salary Range for role: 150,500.00 - 215,000.00 - 279,500.00 CHF Annual The base salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for a performance-based bonus depending on certain performance parameters.
