Job summary

Papers is a software engineering company in Switzerland, focused on web3 infrastructure. We’re seeking a DevOps/SRE professional to own and improve our Linux-based infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and security posture.

The role involves self-hosted servers, Ansible automation, and observability tooling. You’ll work closely with backend engineers and participate in on-call rotations, contributing to a reliable, scalable platform.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure roles with hands-on experience.
• Proficient with Linux/Ubuntu administration on self-managed servers.
• Comfortable with Docker/Docker Compose and GitLab CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve self-hosted Linux infrastructure (Ubuntu) on bare-metal servers.
• Maintain OS/security updates and applications.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI).
• Set up and optimize Docker and Docker Compose deployments.
• Automate provisioning with Ansible.
• Define backup strategies and disaster recovery processes.
• Operate observability stack: Telegraf, InfluxDB, Grafana; write runbooks for alerts.
• Administer Microsoft 365 / Entra ID (Azure AD) for identity and security.
• Support on-call rotations for critical services (Acurast network).
• Collaborate with backend engineers to streamline integration and delivery.
• Identify and automate repetitive tasks to reduce manual work.
