Julius Baer in Zurich is seeking a Data Governance Specialist to build the foundation for our strategic transformation, driving data-centricity across the organization. You will collaborate with stakeholders and help shape how data is governed and trusted throughout its lifecycle.

Join the Data Management & Architecture team on a fixed-term basis to strengthen metadata management, data quality, and data lifecycle practices, and to develop guidance and training materials for broad adoption.

Qualifikationen

• University degree or equivalent, preferably in science, business informatics, banking or finance.
• Understanding of Data Governance, Data Quality and Data Lifecycle Management principles.
• Knowledge of banking data domains and regulatory data requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills across business and technology functions.
• Fluent in English; German is an advantage.

• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to maintain and enhance critical data assets, metadata and business definitions.
• Enable Data Domain Owners and business stakeholders to manage glossaries, data dictionaries and metadata consistently.
• Support regulatory and strategic initiatives requiring the identification, documentation and maintenance of critical data.
• Establish and maintain metadata, data lineage and authoritative source information for key business data elements.
• Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of enterprise Data Governance, Data Quality and Data Lifecycle Management practices.
• Develop user guidance, training materials and documentation to support adoption across the organization.

YOUR CHALLENGE

• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to maintain and enhance critical data assets, metadata and business definitions
• Enable Data Domain Owners and business stakeholders to manage business glossaries, data dictionaries and metadata in a consistent manner
• Support regulatory and strategic initiatives requiring the identification, documentation and maintenance of critical data
• Establish and maintain metadata, data lineage and authoritative source information for key business data elements
• Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of enterprise Data Governance, Data Quality and Data Lifecycle Management practices
• Support the effective management of data throughout its lifecycle, from creation and usage through retention, archival and disposal
• Monitor adherence to data management standards and support the continuous improvement of governance processes and controls
• Contribute to the evolution of enterprise metadata management and data catalogue capabilities
• Develop user guidance, training materials and documentation to support adoption across the organization

YOUR PROFILE

• Earned a university degree or equivalent, preferably in science, business informatics, banking or finance
• Understanding of Data Governance, Data Quality and Data Lifecycle Management principles, backed up with respective experience
• Knowledge of banking data domains and regulatory data requirements
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across business and technology functions
• Comfortable challenging the status quo and driving change in a complex environment
• Self-motivated, hands-on and team-oriented with a can-do attitude
• Fluent in English; German is an advantage
