Julius Baer invites applications for a Data Governance Specialist to build the foundation for strategic transformation and drive data-centricity across the organization. You will collaborate with stakeholders and help govern data, metadata, and critical data capabilities, supporting lifecycle management.

Joining our Data Management & Architecture team, you will shape governance processes, data quality practices and documentation to enable trusted data across the bank in a fixed-term capacity.

Qualifikationen

• University degree or equivalent, preferably in science, business informatics, banking or finance.
• Understanding of Data Governance, Data Quality and Data Lifecycle Management principles, backed by experience.
• Knowledge of banking data domains and regulatory data requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills across business and technology.
• Comfortable challenging the status quo and driving change in a complex environment.
• Self-motivated, hands-on and team-oriented with a can-do attitude.
• Fluent in English; German is an advantage

• Support regulatory and strategic data initiatives through documentation and maintenance.

• Contribute to enterprise Data Governance, Data Quality and Data Lifecycle Management practices.
• Manage data lifecycle from creation to retention, archival and disposal.
• Monitor adherence to data management standards and governance controls.
• Contribute to metadata management and data catalog capabilities.
• Develop guidance and training materials to support adoption across the organization

You will work alongside experienced professionals, engage with stakeholders across the organisation and help shape how data is managed and governed at Julius Baer For a fixed-term period, you will join our Data Management & Architecture team and play a key role in strengthening the bank's data governance, metadata management and critical data capabilities.

Working at the intersection of business and technology, you will help ensure that data is governed, trusted and managed effectively throughout its lifecycle.

YOUR CHALLENGE

• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to maintain and enhance critical data assets, metadata and business definitions
• Enable Data Domain Owners and business stakeholders to manage business glossaries, data dictionaries and metadata in a consistent manner
• Support regulatory and strategic initiatives requiring the identification, documentation and maintenance of critical data
• Establish and maintain metadata, data lineage and authoritative source information for key business data elements
• Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of enterprise Data Governance, Data Quality and Data Lifecycle Management practices
• Support the effective management of data throughout its lifecycle, from creation and usage through retention, archival and disposal
• Monitor adherence to data management standards and support the continuous improvement of governance processes and controls
• Contribute to the evolution of enterprise metadata management and data catalogue capabilities
• Develop user guidance, training materials and documentation to support adoption across the organization

YOUR PROFILE

• Earned a university degree or equivalent, preferably in science, business informatics, banking or finance
• Understanding of Data Governance, Data Quality and Data Lifecycle Management principles, backed up with respective experience
• Knowledge of banking data domains and regulatory data requirements
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across business and technology functions
• Comfortable challenging the status quo and driving change in a complex environment
