Reboot Monkey is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for a full-time on-site role in Zürich, CH. You will support mission-critical infrastructure across premier data center facilities, performing installations, migrations, and reliable cabling with a focus on uptime.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in data center or IT infrastructure, strong cabling skills (Cat5e/6/6a, fiber), and proficiency with server hardware from Dell, HP, and Supermicro. English communication is essential.

Qualifikationen

• Strong cabling skills for copper and fiber.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in raised-floor environments.
• On-site role based in Zürich, English communication required.
• DCIM and ticketing system experience preferred.

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling.
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues.
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes.
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams.
• Maintain safety and on-site procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations


• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic)


• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling


• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work


• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues


• Document all work with photos and detailed notes

• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience


• Strong cabling skills (Cat5e/6/6a, single-mode/multi-mode fiber)


• Experience with server hardware (Dell, HP, Supermicro)


• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in raised floor environments


• Own transportation and ability to work on-site


• Professional communication skills in English


• Data center certifications (CDCP, CDCS, or similar) - preferred


• Network certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+) - preferred


• Experience with DCIM and ticketing systems - preferred


• Familiarity with major colocation providers - preferred


• Standard tools: screwdrivers, cable testers, label makers, fiber inspection equipment
