Job summary

WinGD Ltd. in Winterthur invites applications for a Security & Infrastructure Engineering Intern (m/f/d). Location: Winterthur, workload 100%, start by agreement.

You will work on professional security workflows, penetration testing, and compliance frameworks, gaining hands-on experience with real infrastructure. This internship offers training, development opportunities, and the chance to contribute to the evolving shipping industry’s cybersecurity.

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science (Master's welcome but not required).
• Genuine interest in cybersecurity, networking, and security compliance.
• Programming proficiency in Python, Bash, C, or C++.
• Comfortable navigating and administering Linux systems in practical environments.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills or willingness to develop them.
• Familiarity with Git, Jira and Confluence; knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Understanding of DevOps practices and infrastructure automation.
• Exposure to build automation tools and deployment processes.
• Previous exposure to penetration testing reports or cyber audit documentation.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to security workflows, penetration testing, and compliance tasks.
• Document findings clearly and produce professional reports and documentation.
• Work on real infrastructure and cybersecurity challenges, learning industry-standard tools and practices.
