The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree (FH/ETH) and several years of tunnel or major infrastructure experience, with German language skills at B2 or higher and a valid Category B licence.

Are you an experienced Construction Manager with a strong background in infrastructure or tunnel construction?

If you thrive in a site-based environment and have strong leadership, organisational and technical skills, this role offers the opportunity to take responsibility for the safe and successful execution of complex tunnel construction works.

Key Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for site monitoring, with a particular focus on occupational, operational and tunnel safety.
• Conduct regular site inspections and monitor environmental impacts including dust, noise and smoke emissions.
• Monitor, record and document construction progress, including electronic status reports and compliance checks against project specifications.
• Coordinate responses to unexpected or emergency incidents, including escalation and communication with the relevant construction management teams.
• Maintain close coordination with the wider construction management and project teams to ensure safe and efficient site operations.
• Complete the release and handover of the tunnel to the relevant authorities following completion of night construction activities.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, ideally from a University of Applied Sciences (FH) or ETH.
• Several years of professional experience as a Construction Manager / Site Manager within infrastructure or tunnel construction.
• Strong understanding of construction site management, safety and project execution.
• German language skills at B2 level or above are essential; additional languages are an advantage.
• Valid Category B driving licence.
• Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
• A proactive mindset and willingness to take on new professional challenges.
