Glion Institute of Higher Education seeks a Career Services Advisor for a temporary contract in Glion, Switzerland. You will present to students across campuses, advise on internships, support during placements and coordinate documentation.

The role requires strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, fluency in English with French a plus, and the ability to work autonomously in an international setting. 100% activity, on-site at GIHE campuses.

Qualifikationen

• Delivers general presentations for students on all campuses and leads workshops on CV design and job search techniques.
• Counsels and advises students on internship searches and tracks progress.
• Provides support to students during internships and liaises with employers as needed.
• Follows up on placements and verifies documentation.
• Prepares contracts, attestations and necessary internship documents.
• Ensures internships are properly registered and compliant with policies.
• Administers the Career Services Portal with the team and maintains records.
• Supports on-campus recruitment events and related administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Delivers general presentations for students on all campuses, as well as tutorials/workshops on specific areas including CV design, motivation letter correction, job search techniques, interview techniqus and visas
• Counsels and advises students on all campuses in their active search for an internship and communicates effectively and regularly with students about their progress
• Provides support to students during internship, liaising with employers when necessary
• Follows up on individual placements (verification, tracking etc.)
• Prepares required documents such as contracts and attestations as well as any other documents, as necessary
• Ensures all student internships are properly registered and checked; and that their internships conform to the requirements set up by Career Services and GIHE
• Administration of Career Services Portal in conjunction with other members of the department
• Takes care of and assists with various administrative tasks, including tracking, database management, correspondence, control of internship/job offers posted on Career Services Portal, statistics, sending relevant information to concerned stakeholders, collecting internship evaluations and other information, and any other ad hoc tasks as required
• Supports team members in preparation of on-campus Recruitment events, as required

Profile and experiences:

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Human Resources or equivalent qualification (desirable)
• Similar experience in an education environment is definitely a plus
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and time-management skills
• Fluent in written and spoken English ; French highly desirable and any additional language is an advantage
• Flexible, adaptable and able to work autonomously
• Comfortable working in an international environment
• Ability to connect with and motivate students of all ages
• Strong student focus mindset
