Main Responsibilities
  • Implement and administer core controls relating to counterparty due diligence, anti-bribery and corruption, and anti-money laundering procedures, including conducting due diligence reviews in accordance with established processes and guidelines.
  • Conduct due diligence on counterparties and business relationships, including reviewing ownership structures, beneficial ownership, adverse media and other relevant risk indicators, and elevate higher-risk or complex matters to more senior Compliance colleagues as appropriate.
  • Support the assessment and documentation of ABC and AML-related risks through counterparty and business analysis, and assist with the implementation and follow-up of agreed corrective actions.
  • Support compliance monitoring and control testing activities, including gathering and reviewing relevant information, documenting findings and following up on identified issues.
  • Provide practical guidance to business stakeholders on the application of established ABC Compliance policies and procedures, escalating more complex or sensitive queries where appropriate.
  • Support the Regional Head of ABC Compliance EMEA and other senior members of the Ethics & Sustainability team with compliance projects, reviews and control enhancement initiatives.
  • Support the administration and delivery of ABC Compliance training and awareness activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across compliance and other functions, including HR, Legal, Finance and internal audit, on activities relating to the prevention, mitigation and detection of ABC compliance risks.
  • Maintain accurate and timely compliance records, documentation and reporting in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
Education
  • University degree in Law, Economics, political science, and a related discipline.
  • Compliance, KYC or related professional certification is an advantage.
Experience
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience in compliance, KYC, due diligence, risk or a related field, preferably within commodity trading, financial services, banking or another regulated environment.
  • Experience in a legal, regulatory, investigation or due diligence environment is also relevant.

  • Strong organisational and analytical skills, with attention to detail and a structured, process-oriented approach.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with business stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative approach and ability to develop effective working relationships across functions and jurisdictions.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned activities while recognising when escalation or additional guidance is required.
  • Proactive, adaptable and solution-oriented approach, with good problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel occasionally, as required.
Languages
  • English: fluent, written and spoken.
  • Other languages are an advantage.
