Zusammenfassung

Mercantil Bank (Schweiz) AG in Zürich sucht eine erfahrene Compliance-Fachperson, die das gesamte Spektrum der Compliance-Aufgaben einer Bank abdeckt und als zentrale Ansprechpartnerin fungiert.

Sie verfügen über ein Hochschulstudium, mindestens 7 Jahre Erfahrung im Bankwesen, idealerweise im Private Banking/Wealth Management, sowie Lateinamerika-Hintergrund, Spanischkenntnisse und gute Deutschkenntnisse; Englisch von Vorteil.

Qualifikationen

• Universitätsabschluss in Rechtswissenschaften / Wirtschaft / Betriebswirtschaft wird bevorzugt.
• Mindestens 7 Jahre Erfahrung als Compliance Officer in einer Bank, idealerweise Private Banking / Wealth Management.
• Lateinamerikanischer Hintergrund mit tiefem Verständnis des lateinamerikanischen Finanzmarkts, des US-Finanzsystems und der Abläufe von Finanzinstituten.
• Ausgezeichnete Spanischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift; fließendes Deutsch; Englisch von Vorteil.
• Analytisches Denken, präzise, eigenständige und lösungsorientierte Arbeitsweise.
• Erfahrung oder Interesse an neuen Technologien und IT-Affinität.

Aufgaben

• Zentraler Ansprechpartner für alle Compliance-Themen
• Überwachung der Einhaltung gesetzlicher, regulatorischer und interner Vorgaben
• Durchführung von Compliance-Audits und Kontrollen
• Analyse des Hintergrunds von Transaktionen und Durchführung von Due Diligence
• Entwicklung von Richtlinien und kontinuierliche Verbesserung von Compliance-Prozessen
• Beratung, Unterstützung und Schulung von Mitarbeitenden zu Compliance-Themen
• Umsetzung regulatorischer Anforderungen und Bewertung interner Vorgaben
• Verbesserung bestehender IT-Systeme und Implementierung neuer Systeme

Über den Job:

This role is very broad and requires a generalist with the willingness to handle the entire spectrum of operational and conceptual tasks that are specific to the compliance function of a bank.

Yours responsibilities:

• Acting as central point of contact, consultant and expert for all Compliance issues
• Monitoring and ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and internal regulations
• Executing Compliance audits and controls
• Analyzing and clarifying the background of transactions and executing due diligence
• Development of policies and procedures, as well as continuous improvement of compliance processes
• Advising, supporting and training of employees related to Compliance topics
• Implementing regulatory requirements and establishing and evaluating internal directives
• Improving current and implementing new IT systems

Requirements:

• University degree preferably in Swiss law, economics or business administration
• Minimum of 7 years of experience as Compliance Officer in a Bank, ideally in the area Private Banking / Wealth Management
• Latin American background with deep understanding of the Latin American Financial market, the US financial system, and the operations of its financial institutions
• Persuasive and assertive team player carrying out all professional activities in demanding situations and in a constantly changing environment, with excellent communication and knowledge transfer skills
• Excellent command of written and spoken Spanish is a must, fluent in German, English is as an advantage
• Analytical thinking and a precise, independent and solution-oriented working style
• Experience or interest in new technologies and IT affinity
