This is a broad, high-profile position advising senior business leaders on some of the organisation's most strategic transactions and commercial matters. The successful candidate will work across a diverse portfolio of cross-border M&A, joint ventures, strategic investments, structured commercial transactions and complex disputes within a fast-paced international environment. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced corporate lawyer looking to move in-house into a commercially focused role with significant exposure to senior stakeholders and complex international transactions.

The Role

You will:

• Act as a trusted legal adviser to senior business leaders on strategically important corporate and commercial matters.
• Support the execution of complex international transactions from initial structuring through to completion.
• Provide commercially focused legal guidance on a broad range of corporate, contractual and governance issues.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify legal risk, develop practical solutions and facilitate successful business outcomes.
• Lead negotiations on high-value agreements involving multiple stakeholders across different jurisdictions.
• Instruct and manage external law firms where specialist expertise is required, ensuring efficient delivery and cost-effective outcomes.
• Build strong relationships across the organisation, becoming a valued business partner rather than simply a legal adviser.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of legal processes, governance and best practice within the wider legal function.

Candidate Profile

We are interested in lawyers who possess:

• Approximately 6-12+ years' post-qualification experience gained within a leading international law firm and/or multinational corporate environment.
• A strong track record advising on sophisticated cross-border corporate transactions.
• Excellent commercial judgement and an ability to balance legal risk with business objectives.
• Experience working directly with senior executives and influencing decision-making.
• The confidence to manage multiple workstreams in a dynamic, international environment.
• Outstanding communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• A collaborative, pragmatic approach with the credibility to operate as a trusted adviser across the business.
