Job summary

Orange Business in Geneva is seeking a Data Engineer Consultant to design, build, and optimize modern cloud data platforms using Microsoft Azure, Fabric, Databricks and Snowflake for leading clients. You will work with data architects, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver scalable data ecosystems.

You will contribute to end-to-end data ingestion, transformation, modeling, and consumption, while expanding your expertise with cloud technologies and data-driven initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, Analytics Engineering, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, data integration, and warehousing or lakehouse architectures.
• Hands-on experience with modern data platforms including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Platform, Databricks, Snowflake, Synapse Analytics, dbt, Airflow.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python or similar language used for data engineering.
• Experience building scalable cloud-based data pipelines and solutions.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in French and English.
• Preferred: DataOps, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, cloud-native deployment; Azure/Microsoft certifications.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines, data warehouses, lakehouses, and cloud data platforms.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes to ingest, transform, and deliver data from multiple sources.
• Create and maintain data models to support analytics, reporting, BI, and AI use cases.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, and architects to translate requirements into robust solutions.
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance across platforms.
• Monitor and optimize data pipeline performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Contribute to automation, testing, CI/CD, and best practices across data projects.
