Job summary

Tune Insight SA is seeking a Medical AI Data Engineer in Lausanne (VD) with 80–100% workload. The role focuses on building AI agents for querying federated clinical data, aligning with OMOP/HL7 FHIR standards, and delivering robust backend and frontend features for researchers.

Qualifications include a Master’s degree, Go and React expertise, and strong SQL skills. Fluency in English and French is valued due to the Lausanne location and cross-institution partnerships.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building production RAG pipelines and agentic AI workflows for clinical data querying.
• Practical experience integrating clinical ontologies (SNOMED CT, ATC, RxNorm, ICD-10, LOINC, OMOP) into a query/data harmonization system.
• Solid Go development experience, including API design and data pipeline construction.
• React development experience with secure, clinical-facing interfaces.
• Strong SQL: writing and optimizing complex queries in production databases (PostgreSQL/Oracle).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain AI agents leveraging RAG and autonomous AI agents to query federated datasets.
• Build and iterate on a SQL generation pipeline with schema-awareness and query validation for complex clinical data models.
• Implement and maintain data harmonization per OMOP and HL7 FHIR standards to enable interoperability across datasets.
• Integrate medical ontology mappings across ICD-10, SNOMED CT, ATC, RxNorm for semantic consistency.
• Develop full-stack platform features from backend services to user interfaces for researchers and data scientists.
