The Emerald Group is seeking an experienced Claims Manager to lead the French reinsurance claims portfolio across Property and Casualty, with a focus on Motor and Bodily Injury. You will oversee complex claims from notification to settlement and provide insights to support underwriting and business development.

Ideal candidates will have several years in French P&C reinsurance, strong technical claims knowledge, and a data-driven approach to portfolio analytics and risk assessment.

Qualifikationen

• Several years of claims or underwriting experience within the French Property and Casualty insurance or reinsurance market.
• Strong technical expertise in Motor and/or Bodily Injury claims is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of insurance and reinsurance contracts, with an affinity for the legal and technical aspects of claims handling.
• A data-driven mindset with an interest in portfolio analytics, trend identification and underwriting insights.

Aufgaben

• Take primary responsibility for the French reinsurance claims portfolio across Property and Casualty lines, with a particular focus on Motor and Bodily Injury
• Manage complex reinsurance claims from notification to final settlement
• Provide an independent view on reserve adequacy and estimate exposures arising from major NatCat events and complex loss scenarios
• Plan and conduct client claims reviews in close cooperation with Underwriting
• Monitor legal and market developments in France and translate relevant findings into actionable insights for internal stakeholders
• Work closely with Underwriting by providing claims insights, lessons learned and portfolio-level feedback to support underwriting decisions and business development
