Job summary

ITECH Consult AG in Bern, Switzerland, seeks an Architecture Owner for CI Platforms to steer the development, optimisation and modernisation of GitLab, Artifactory, SonarQube, and the internal Developer Portal built on Backstage. You will lead architectural decisions and coordinate with Delivery teams to deliver self-service tooling and automation.

You will collaborate with Product Owners to shape the roadmap, ensure security and reliability, and document architectural standards while driving

Qualifications

• Tertiary education or further training in Computer Science at a university of applied sciences (FH) or university level.
• Strong technical knowledge and architectural experience in CI platforms.
• Good software development skills in Go, React, TypeScript, and Java.
• Good knowledge of Linux, shell scripting, and Docker image creation.
• Strong knowledge of observability tools, particularly Grafana and Prometheus.
• Strong knowledge of Helm, Ansible, Git, and AWS.
• Enjoy working closely with development teams and improving the Developer Experience.
• Very good German skills at C1 level or above, along with very good English skills.

Responsibilities

• Take architectural responsibility for the further development, optimisation, and modernisation of GitLab, Artifactory, SonarQube, and the internal Developer Portal based on Backstage.
• Further develop the Developer Portal according to the requirements of development teams.
• Design solutions that provide transparency and enable teams to use the platforms independently and efficiently.
• Implement complex automation solutions with the team, including rollouts, upgrades, housekeeping, self-healing, and integrations.
• Advise the Product Owner on architecture, technology, and security within the product roadmap.
• Create and maintain architectural documentation and guidelines, ensuring their implementation.
• Support the definition and acceptance of architectural artefacts.

Architecture Owner CI Platforms 100% (m/f/d) – GitLab | Backstage | Developer Experience:

For a client in the financial services sector in Bern, we are looking for an experienced professional to take responsibility for the architectural development and optimisation of core Continuous Integration (CI) platforms.

Working closely with the Delivery Team Lead and the Product Owner, you will provide technical leadership to the delivery team. You will shape a high-performing Developer Experience and further develop platforms, self-service offerings, and automation for internal development teams.
