Job summary

Siemens Switzerland is looking for a CI/CD and DevOps Expert in Testing to design and implement end-to-end CI/CD strategies for multiple projects, including cloud deployments and AI solutions. You will work within a global, agile team, setting up pipelines, observability, and robust automated testing.

Applicants should have a master's or bachelor's in CS/engineering, strong GitLab CI/CD expertise, and experience with AWS, Docker/Podman, and REST API testing.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field.
• Proficient in GitLab CI/CD.
• Experience with Cloud, Edge and IoT tech stack including AWS, JavaScript; Docker, Podman, Microservices, Linux.
• Experience in REST API testing.
• Ability to review, verify, and validate software code.
• Experience in test automation (GUI, API, E2E).
• Familiar with SAFe/Scrum in agile projects.
• Strong English skills are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and execute CI/CD strategies for DevOps across multiple projects including legacy software, cloud deployment, and AI solutions.
• Design and orchestrate CI pipelines for automated tests and cloud deployment using GitLab and AWS.
• Establish observability tools for asset health and security status; derive actionable work-items.
• Contribute to test architecture and strategy; collaborate in global development and test teams.
• Mentor teammates and participate in an agile development squad.

Your new responsibilities

• Designing, implementing, and executing CI/CD strategies covering development, testing, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operations, across multiple projects including legacy software, cloud deployment and AI solutions
• Designing, implementing, and orchestrating CI pipelines for automated tests, design, setup and maintain cloud deployment mechanisms using GitLab pipelines and AWS allowing for:
• parallel deployments for developers
• staged deployments for development, integration, and production environment
• production grade availability and performance of asset
• Design, setup and maintain observability tools to support in asset operations
• Observe tools and services that provide inputs on asset health and security status, interpret and derive work-items
• Contribute to test architecture and test strategy
• Work and collaborate in global development and test teams
• Be part of an agile development team, share and develop your knowledge and mentor other team members

Your talents and experience

• A master's, or bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or in a related field
• Proficient in GitLab with regards to CI/CD
• Experience in Cloud, Edge and IoT technology stack, including AWS, , JavaScript; Docker, Podman, Microservices, Linux
• Experience in REST API testing
• Have the technical skills to review, verify, and validate the software code developed in the project
• Experience in test automation (GUI, API, E2E) in product, integration or system test
• Familiar with test and development processes of agile software development projects: SAFe, Scrum
• Proactive, motivated and committed person with a growth mindset, that likes to cooperate with other teams in a global setup and is willing to bring our solutions to the latest level of technology
• Strong English skills, skills are beneficial
