Job summary

Neominds is seeking a senior technology leader to act as the CTO's right hand, translating business priorities into a concrete technology roadmap and defining the technology strategy. You will support implementations with client teams and partners, across diagnostics, architecture, governance, roadmaps, and ongoing IT support.

You will coordinate a CTO Office when needed, ensuring consistency of contributions with the client’s objectives and roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Advise CIOs and senior management on technology direction, clarifying issues, options, costs and risks.
• Assess current state: architecture, maturity, organization, technical debt, risks and improvements.
• Define target architectures and technology principles; challenge solutions and vendors.
• Build and evolve roadmaps with clear priorities, dependencies, milestones and ownership.
• Structure technology governance and prepare investment decisions and trade-offs.
• Develop and challenge budgets and total cost of ownership scenarios.
• Oversee technical consistency of execution; anticipate difficulties and assess readiness for deployments.
• Integrate security and resilience requirements with relevant leads.
• Assess AI use cases and emerging technologies for business value, feasibility and risk.
• Support teams and managers; build capabilities and knowledge transfer.

The Role

Neominds is looking for a senior profile to support its clients as a CTO.

You act as the CIO's technology right hand: you inform decisions, challenge directions, and translate business priorities into a concrete technology roadmap, help define the technology strategy, and ensure it is properly followed. You then support its implementation, alongside the client's internal teams and partners.

Your scope varies by engagement: targeted diagnostics, architecture definition, technology governance, roadmap building, or ongoing support to an IT department.

• Assess AI use cases and emerging technologies in terms of business value, feasibility, and risk.
• Support teams and their managers, build their capabilities, and facilitate knowledge transfer.

Depending on needs, you coordinate a CTO Office bringing together technical specialists, PMO skills, and project managers. You ensure the consistency of their contributions around the roadmap and objectives agreed with the client.

Your profile

You have held roles such as CTO, Head of Technology, Technical Director, Head of Architecture, or an equivalent position, with effective responsibility for technology decisions and their implementation.

You bring:

• Proven experience engaging with C-Levels and business stakeholders.
• Concrete achievements in technology modernization, architecture definition, and leading complex transformations.
• A cross-functional view spanning multiple domains: infrastructure and cloud, cybersecurity, software development, platforms and integration, data and AI.
• Deep expertise in some of these domains and the ability to bring in the right specialists for the others.
• Solid command of budget, sourcing, vendor, and team organization matters.
• The ability to move from a strategic conversation to an in-depth technical discussion, then formulate a clear, actionable recommendation.
• Sound judgment, autonomy, and the ability to challenge diplomatically.
• Ease operating across multiple client environments, with varying levels of maturity and constraints.
• A solid ability to lead and manage teams.

Experience in consulting, fractional/shared technology leadership, or interim management assignments is an asset.

You are fluent in French and English, both spoken and written. German is a plus.

You live in or near the Lake Geneva region and can be present at the Rolle office 2 to 3 days a week when not on-site with a client.
