RULEMATCH AG in Zurich is seeking an entrepreneurial Chief Information Security Officer to build and lead a holistic IT security function, ensuring confidentiality, integrity and availability of RULEMATCH data and IT systems. You will report to the CRO and drive security across SDLC, risk management, continuity, and regulatory compliance.

A hands-on security leader with engineering background and ability to enforce necessary adjustments will thrive in this technically challenging environment

Qualifikationen

• Several years in information security, including leadership.
• Engineering background with IT security / systems / cloud experience.
• Experience implementing IT security frameworks and certifications.
• University degree in computer science; master's preferred.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA desirable.
• Fluent in English; German a plus.

By offering significantly more capital-efficient and lower latency trading, RULEMATCH is helping increase institutional adoption and enable the next evolution of the crypto and digital asset market. The RULEMATCH Group operates through two legal entities. RULEMATCH AG, headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, operates a crypto-asset trading venue serving institutional market participants. Its wholly owned subsidiary, RULEMATCH Europe AG, is based in Vaduz, Liechtenstein, where it operates a crypto-asset trading venue under a Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) license granted by the Financial Market Authority (FMA) of Liechtenstein.

We run our trading platform across on-prem and cloud infrastructure and are looking for an entrepreneurial Chief Information Security Officer for RULEMATCH AG. In this role, you will build and lead a holistic IT security function with an equal focus on confidentiality, integrity, and availability of RULEMATCH data and IT systems, as well as the specific aspects of cybersecurity and business continuity management. You will report to the CRO.

We are looking for candidates who can bring an effective, hands-on IT Security perspective based on their solid experience as an engineer. You are not afraid to intervene in processes and enforce necessary adjustments.

Tasks

• Implement and oversee the company’s IT security framework including cybersecurity
• Ensure that security considerations are built into every phase of the system development life cycle
• Continuously evaluate and manage the company’s IT risk posture
• Manage business continuity and disaster recovery preparation
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and cybersecurity standards
• Lead the company’s IT security certification activities
• Be responsible for assigning internal access rights and other security-critical tasks
• Lead incident response and crisis management
• Promote a culture of strong information security
• Ensure ongoing cybersecurity awareness training and education for users
• Engage with partners, clients, auditors, and regulators on IT security issues

Requirements

• Several years of experience in information security, some of which preferably in a leadership role
• Solid background in engineering with working experience as an IT security / systems / cloud engineer is a must
• Proven experience in the implementation of IT security frameworks and certifications, preferably in financial services or other highly regulated industries
• University degree in computer science or in a related technical field required and master’s degree preferred (equivalent work experience will be considered)
• Relevant professional certification such as CISSP, CISM, CISA or similar are highly desirable
• Fluency in verbal and written English required, German is a big plus
• Strategic thinking with the ability to align security initiatives with business objectives
• Willingness to go the extra mile in a startup environment
