IT-DI provides services to the department ranging from the architecture and the deployment of the CERN computing facilities to the laboratory computing security and the relations with the CERN user communities and general public.

Your responsibilities
  • Be part of the activities of the IT-DI-COE section in the areas of Education, Communication and Outreach.
  • Take an active part in restructuring the CERN IT website: support the completion of its WordPress migration and design a new information architecture to improve searchability and usability for diverse audiences, including CERN staff, researchers, and key global initiatives like the Worldwide LHC Computing Grid.
  • Support IT-DI-COE in event organisation, notably being part of the back office for the events like Conferences, Project events, CERN OpenDays (CERN IT part). This task includes the streamlining and the improvement of existing processes.
  • Help building new departmental infrastructure — leveraging existing CERN repositories — to organise and maintain resources for inductions, visits, events, and other key processes, giving you the chance to shape a system from the ground up.
