Recrutis is seeking a CAPEX Project Manager for a Swiss pharma/biotech focused client, based in Biel/Bienne. You will own complex capital projects end-to-end within GMP environments, lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate external partners to secure budget, margins and on-time delivery.

Regulatory and quality standards are central; regular travel to customer sites in French- and German-speaking Switzerland is required. 12-month assignment from Oct 2026, with on-site presence ~3 days/week.

Qualifikationen

• Engineering degree in process or mechanical engineering, or equivalent.
• 10+ years as lead or overall PM in plant/process construction.
• Experience in pharma/biotech/food/chemical GMP environments.
• Ownership of project budget, margin and financial controlling, incl. variation orders & claims.
• Strong leadership, negotiation and stakeholder-management with ability handling commercial pressure.
• Fluent German (working language) and fluent English.
• On-site presence Biel/Bienne ~3 days/week with regular travel.

Recrutis is supporting one of its clients, a Swiss industrial partner delivering process equipment and capital projects to the pharmaceutical and biotech sector, in the search for a CAPEX Project Manager, based in Biel/Bienne.

Scope

Profile — Required criteria (knockout)

• Engineering degree (Bachelor / FH / HF) in process or mechanical engineering, or equivalent qualification.
• 10+ years' experience as overall or lead project manager in plant or process construction.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, food or chemical industries, in a GMP-regulated environment.
• Demonstrated ownership of project budget, margin and financial controlling, including variation orders and claims.
• Strong leadership, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills, with genuine comfort navigating customer expectations, commercial pressure and on-the-ground realities.
• Fluent German (working language) and fluent English.
• Availability for on-site presence in Biel/Bienne approximately 3 days per week, with regular travel to customer sites in French- and German-speaking Switzerland.

Strong assets — Differentiators

• Biotech project experience (strongly preferred over other regulated industries).
• Hands-on experience with skid-based process equipment and modular plant delivery.
• Track record on supplier-side / EPC or equipment-vendor projects with direct customer accountability.
• French, in addition to German and English.
