Zusammenfassung

Pictet Group in Geneva seeks a Business Process Manager to transform and optimize our end-to-end tax reporting framework within Tax Operations. You will partner with cross-functional teams to design scalable, client-centric solutions in a changing tax and regulatory environment.

Reporting to the Head of Tax Reporting, you will oversee process improvements, document rules, and ensure compliance while driving incident resolution and knowledge sharing across front, middle and back offices.

Qualifikationen

  • University degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in banking or securities operations, preferably in operational tax, tax reporting, securities processing, or back/middle office.
  • Proven experience in process optimization, business analysis or project management within a financial institution or Big 4/consulting in financial services.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to manage cross functional projects.
  • Solid knowledge of tax reporting; expertise in transactional taxes is a strong asset.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities; client-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to explain complex topics clearly and concisely.
  • Tech savvy with digital tools, data platforms and process automation.
  • Structured, autonomous and delivery focused.
  • Resident in Switzerland; fluent in French and English.

Aufgaben

  • Oversee, document and optimize transversal processes related to tax reporting, tax rating and transactional taxes in banking/securities operations context.
  • Map and improve business processes, identify pain points and quantify productivity gains and risk reduction.
  • Act as a SME on process improvements, collaborating with IT and business stakeholders to align on process boundaries and enhancements.
  • Understand roles along the value chain to identify opportunities for end-to-end improvement.
  • Drive incident resolution and root cause analysis for complex issues; disseminate knowledge across teams.
  • Ensure up-to-date documentation of business rules and processes; promote process awareness.
  • Assess impact of regulatory tax changes and product launches on processes; participate in UAT to ensure integrity.
  • Serve as main point of contact for process-related queries.

Your team

Join the Tax Operations Department in Geneva, the Group’s centre of expertise for operational tax within a leading Swiss private bank. We support private clients with comprehensive tax reporting, manage transactional taxes, and maintain strong relationships with tax authorities. We combine deep regulatory expertise with robust banking operations and innovative process management to deliver compliant, value-added tax reporting solutions.

As a Business Process Manager (BPM), you will play a pivotal role in transforming and optimizing our end-to-end tax reporting framework. Reporting to the Head of Tax Reporting team, you will act as a catalyst for change, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to design robust, scalable and client centric solutions in a fast evolving tax and regulatory environment.

Your role
  • Oversee, document and optimize transversal processes related to tax reporting, tax rating and transactional taxes in a banking / securities operations context.
  • Map and improve business processes, identifying pain points and quantifying productivity gains and risk reduction.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on process improvements, collaborating with IT and business stakeholders to align on process boundaries and strategic enhancements.
  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of all users along the value chain (front, middle, back-office, tax, IT) in order to identify opportunities for end to end improvement.
  • Drive incident resolution and root cause analysis for complex issues, transforming incidents into lasting improvements and sharing knowledge across teams.
  • Ensure up to date documentation of business rules and processes, promoting process awareness and alignment throughout the organization.
  • Assess the impact of regulatory tax changes and new product launches on existing processes, participating in user acceptance testing (UAT) to guarantee process integrity.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for process related queries, providing expert guidance and support to internal and external stakeholders.
Your profile
  • University degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Mandatory: minimum 3 years of experience in banking or securities operations, preferably in operational tax, tax reporting, securities processing, or back /middle office.
  • Proven experience in process optimization, business analysis or project management within a financial institution or Big 4 / consulting firm focused on financial services.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to manage complex, cross functional projects.
  • Solid knowledge of tax reporting; expertise in transactional taxes is a strong asset.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with a collaborative and client oriented mindset.
  • Ability to synthesise and explain complex topics clearly and concisely.
  • Tech savvy, comfortable working with digital tools, data platforms and process automation solutions.
  • Structured, autonomous and delivery focused.
  • Fluent in French and English.
  • Resident in Switzerland.
