Qualifikationen

• 3–5+ years in EDM or Reference Data with emphasis on Instrument Data Management in banking or asset/wealth management.
• Strong understanding of security master data, identifiers, pricing, and corporate actions.
• Experience with vendor data models and feeds.
• Ability to define data quality rules, KPIs, and SLAs; design controls and workflows.
• Experience with workshops, backlogs, and cross-functional delivery (Agile preferred).

UBP includes a critical department dedicated to the management of financial instruments the bank trades across both its asset management and its wealth management businesses.

For this purpose, the Gresham OPUS EDM cloud based solution is currently in deployment across the whole group, replacing the in-house Instrument Database. In this transition, implementation quality is paramount to maintain the expected support service levels.

We’re seeking a Business Analyst with strong Enterprise Data Management (EDM) experience, specializing in Instrument/Reference Data. The ideal candidate blends deep business/domain knowledge (security master, pricing, corporate actions, classifications) with solid technical skills to analyze requirements, translate them into robust solution designs, and partner with operational teams to deliver scalable data capabilities across the enterprise.

Key Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Act as an SME on EDM Production activities, to support the business counterparts in their daily activities around Instrument Data Management.
• Engage with stakeholders (Front Office, Risk, Operations, Finance) to capture and prioritize requirements related to instrument data lifecycles.
• Produce end-to-end technical solution designs for EDM capabilities (ingestion, mastering, validation, enrichment, distribution).
• Manage sourcing strategy and vendor onboarding (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv, ICE/S&P), including entitlement and feed configurations.

Functional Skills

• 3–5+ years in EDM or Reference Data with emphasis on Instrument Data Management in banking, asset/wealth management, or market data operations.
• Strong understanding of security master data: identifiers (ISIN/SEDOL/CUSIP), classifications, pricing methodologies, corporate actions, issuer/ultimate parent hierarchies, ratings, terms & conditions.
• Experience with vendor data models and feeds (SIX, Bloomberg, Refinitiv).
• Define data quality rules, KPIs, and SLAs; design controls and exception workflows for instrument data.
• Run workshops, maintain backlogs, and coordinate cross-functional delivery (Agile preferred).
• Prepare clear documentation and training for users; communicate impact, risks, and mitigations.

Technical Skills

• Solid experience with one or more EDM platforms or security master solutions (e.g., GoldenSource, Markit EDM/SmartMart, NeoXam DataHub, SimCorp, Aladdin Data, or in-house)
• Ability to produce technical solution designs: logical/physical data models, API specs (REST/GraphQL), message schemas (JSON/Avro/XML), interface contracts.
• Proficient in SQL for profiling, lineage, and Data quality analysis; comfort with query optimization and large datasets.
• Familiarity with data integration tools and patterns and orchestration tools (CTRL-m).
• Experience with cloud computing, Dev Sec Ops, and automation tools is a plus.
