Job summary

CSL Plasma Inc. seeks an Associate Director, Research Biostatistics to provide strategic statistical leadership across CSL Research programs, partnering with multidisciplinary teams to design studies and analyse complex datasets that support project decisions.

The role blends hands-on study design with advanced analyses (Bayesian methods, causal inference) and development of reproducible workflows in R, plus mentoring of statisticians and collaboration with external partners.

Qualifications

• PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years applying statistics in pre-clinical pharma/biotech/biomedical research.
• Proven experience with modern statistical programming and reproducible analysis workflows (R).
• Publications or methodological innovations evidence.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic statistical leadership across discovery, translational, and early programs.
• Lead and perform complex statistical analyses across preclinical, translational, biomarker, imaging, and omics datasets.
• Develop innovative statistical methods and reproducible analytical workflows in R.
• Mentor statisticians and scientists, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver high-quality outcomes.
