Job summary

Lonza in Visp, Switzerland invites talented students to an internship or thesis project in Analytical Development in Biologics Mammalian. The role is fully site-based and lasts 9 to 12 months, supporting routine testing and data generation to help ensure quality and safety in biopharmaceutical manufacturing.

You will work with HPLC, CE-SDS, icIEF, LC-MS and other analytical methods, gain hands-on lab experience, analyze data, implement improvements, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of biochemical methods; hands-on lab experience is a plus.
• Scientific curiosity and interest in analytical chemistry.
• Data analysis and interpretation skills preferred.
• Basic programming knowledge is a plus.
• Strong English communication and collaboration.
• Good sense of humor.

Responsibilities

• Assist routine testing of protein therapeutics using HPLC, CE-SDS, icIEF, LC-MS, or similar methods.
• Generate and analyze high-quality data; interpret results.
• Work independently on improvements and new technical solutions.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and related activities.
