About Children’s Specialized ABA

Children’s Specialized ABA is part of the Children’s Specialized Hospital Autism Center of Excellence. We provide compassionate, evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children with autism spectrum disorder and their families.

Our team is committed to expanding access to high-quality care while building the systems and processes needed to support our continued growth. We believe strong operational and compliance practices are essential to ensuring our clinical teams can provide exceptional care to the families we serve.

About The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Compliance & Audit Specialist to support the accuracy, quality, and compliance of our billing and payroll processes.

In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing billing and timesheet activity, conducting audits, identifying discrepancies and trends, and ensuring documentation aligns with both individual payer requirements and internal billing and payroll policies.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in ABA or healthcare billing, auditing, compliance, quality, or risk management who enjoys investigating details, identifying opportunities for improvement, and partnering across teams to strengthen processes.

What You’ll Do

  • Continuously audit draft and converted timesheets to ensure compliance with internal billing and payroll policies, including MUE and EVV audits

  • Review billing entries to ensure compliance with individual payer guidelines and internal policies

  • Identify billing, documentation, or timesheet discrepancies and ensure concerns are appropriately addressed

  • Manage shared inboxes related to draft and converted timesheet issues in a timely and professional manner

  • Support larger timesheet management and audit projects as needed

  • Enforce internal billing and payroll policies to promote high-quality billing practices and operational efficiency

  • Escalate billing and compliance concerns to appropriate cross-functional partners, including Compliance, Billing, and HR

  • Collaborate virtually with regional clinical teams by providing training, guidance, and feedback based on audit findings

  • Analyze billing and timesheet data to identify recurring trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement

  • Recommend targeted solutions, including additional training, process improvements, and enhancements to organizational policies

  • Partner with leadership to develop and implement improvement plans following audit findings

  • Support additional projects and responsibilities as needed

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Previous experience in ABA or healthcare billing, auditing, quality assurance, compliance, or risk management

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies or potential compliance concerns

  • Ability to interpret and follow established policies, procedures, and payer requirements

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Ability to communicate professionally and collaborate with multiple departments

  • Comfortable working with data, conducting audits, and following issues through to resolution

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience within the ABA field

  • At least 1 year of CentralReach experience

  • Experience working with billing documentation, timesheets, payer requirements, EVV, or related healthcare compliance processes

What Success Looks Like

In this role, success means maintaining a high level of accuracy while helping the organization proactively identify and address billing and compliance risks. You’ll serve as an important partner across operational, clinical, billing, compliance, and HR teams by turning audit findings into actionable improvements.

The ideal candidate is someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, comfortable asking questions, and motivated to improve processes rather than simply identify errors.

Physical Requirements

  • Visual and auditory ability to work on a computer and use a phone for extended periods

  • Ability to perform the physical aspects of the position for extended periods, including sitting, standing, bending, squatting, and kneeling

Why Join Children’s Specialized ABA?

At Children’s Specialized ABA, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to a growing organization focused on improving access to high-quality autism services. This role offers the opportunity to make an impact behind the scenes by strengthening the processes that support our employees, clinicians, and the families we serve.

We value collaboration, continuous improvement, accountability, and compassionate care, and we’re looking for team members who are excited to grow alongside us.
