Job summary

Boschung Mecatronic AG is hiring a Software Engineer to strengthen its Backend team in Payerne, focusing on microservices, database design, and cloud-native technologies. You will contribute to AI-assisted development and collaborate across teams to deliver scalable software platforms.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Software Engineering or related field with 3+ years of experience, strong Java 8+ and Spring Boot, and experience with relational and non-relational databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience.
• Strong Java 8+ and Spring Boot knowledge.
• Relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non-relational (Cassandra) database design.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, RabbitMQ and MQTT.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools in the software workflow.
• Fluent in French; good English; German is an asset.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies is an asset.
• Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into software algorithms is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Conception and development of microservices.
• Database modeling.
• CI/CD with IT-Support team.
• Definition and implementation of tests.
• Corrective maintenance and evolution of existing components.
• Ensure the backend development of current and future projects.
• Participate in cross-functional code reviews, including React frontend code.
